The naming traps to avoid
- The Alleppey GI is GREEN CARDAMOM. "Alleppey finger" turmeric is a traded grade, not a GI.
- The GI turmerics are Erode, Sangli, Waigaon and Kandhamal, not "Alleppey".
- Kashmir Saffron carries a GI and is prized for very high crocin.
