What the Naga Mircha GI means for sourcing

A Geographical Indication ties bird's eye chilli from nagaland to a defined origin and its qualities, registered under application 109 and held by Govt. of Nagaland. Buyers who need documented provenance — private-label brands, premium retail, and importers whose own customers ask for it — specify the GI on the contract. When we ship against a GI claim we reference the registration so the mark on your carton holds up.

For grades, specification and the wider trade in this spice, see the Bird's Eye Chilli export page. We also ship it to buyers worldwide — tell us your market and grade and we will quote it.

Sourcing Naga Mircha or another bird's eye chilli? Tell us the grade and destination and we quote it, with the provenance documentation your buyer expects.
